For an SAP Conversion Lead role with experience in SAP S/4HANA and the Meat or Food Industry, the following experience, skills, and qualifications are typically required:
1. SAP S/4HANA Expertise
- SAP S/4HANA Conversion: Extensive experience in leading and executing SAP S/4HANA conversion projects (system migrations or upgrades) from older SAP ECC systems to S/4HANA. This includes overseeing all stages of the conversion process, such as planning, blueprinting, data migration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- S/4HANA Modules Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA functional modules relevant to the food or meat industry, including but not limited to:
- SAP MM (Materials Management): Inventory management, procurement, and supply chain processes.
- SAP SD (Sales and Distribution): Order management, sales processes, and customer relationship management.
- SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling): Accounting, financial reporting, and cost management.
- SAP PP (Production Planning): Manufacturing and production processes, essential for food/meat industry production lines.
- SAP WM (Warehouse Management) and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management): Warehouse operations, crucial for handling meat and food product storage and distribution.
- S/4HANA Data Migration: Experience leading data migration efforts for the conversion, including mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from legacy systems (e.g., SAP ECC, non-SAP systems) to SAP S/4HANA.
- Fiori/UX Experience: Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAP Fiori applications for creating user-friendly interfaces for end-users in S/4HANA.
2. Industry-Specific Knowledge (Meat/Food Industry)
- Industry-Specific Business Processes: Understanding of the unique business processes in the meat and food industries, including:
- Supply Chain Management: Managing perishable goods, procurement of raw materials, inventory management, and distribution.
- Production & Manufacturing: Knowledge of food/meat production processes, batch processing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance specific to the industry.
- Traceability & Compliance: Handling industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, EU food safety standards) and the traceability of products from raw materials to finished goods.
- Shelf Life Management: Managing expiration dates, batch tracking, and rotation of inventory, which is critical in the food industry.
- Food Safety Regulations: Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) and their integration within SAP for quality management and traceability.
- Recipe Management: Experience in managing complex recipes, formulas, and bill of materials (BOM) in the context of food/meat production.
- Food Industry Supply Chain: Expertise in managing the complexities of perishable food products, including temperature-controlled supply chains, distribution, and regulatory requirements.
3. Leadership and Project Management Skills
- Project Leadership: Strong leadership experience in managing large SAP conversion projects, especially S/4HANA migration, ensuring all phases (planning, execution, testing, go-live, and support) are on time and within scope.
